The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Peterborough
Councillor Chris Harper, accompanied by Mrs Rita Harper
Born at Thorpe Hall in Peterborough, Councillor Chris Harper was raised in the Gunthorpe and Paston areas of the city and educated locally at Gunthorpe Primary School and Walton Comprehensive School.
He began his working life in 1979 as an apprentice electrician with the Eastern Electricity Board and later developed his engineering skills through studies at Havering and Peterborough Technical Colleges. His career has included senior technical and management responsibilities in refrigeration, air handling and banking engineering.
Councillor Harper met his wife, Rita, 37 years ago. Together they have two children, Dan and Ray. HSCPN is honoured to welcome the Mayor and Mrs Rita Harper to Session 16 and to recognise the contribution of health and social care providers, entrepreneurs and community organisations in Peterborough and across the United Kingdom.
The Mayor’s attendance brings important recognition to the people and organisations working to improve outcomes across health and social care.

Joy is an experienced Medical Practitioner, Nutritionist and Nurse Consultant specialising in complex care training. She is also a coach, community adviser and advocate for social and economic change.

She is also an author and filmmaker whose book and film, Like A Flood, draw on her experiences during the COVID-19 period. Through training, speaking and community work, she continues to encourage resilience, leadership and positive change.

Godfrey Mushandu
Godfrey brings more than 20 years of experience in health and social care, with specialist expertise in CQC and Ofsted registration, compliance, quality assurance, auditing and business development.

A former Healthcare Operations Manager, holder of the Registered Managers Award and Skills for Care Assessor, he supports providers to strengthen systems, improve standards and build sustainable services.

Admire brings 20 years of banking experience and now works closely with founders and leadership teams to improve operations, strengthen performance and build more valuable businesses.
